A hidden dining experience

Hide-out is a space designed for people to escape their stressful lifestyle through eating. This space is specifically for people who wish to dine and have the time to themselves alone where they can eat comfortably at their own space. The design concept is inspired by the metaphor of “shell”, where the form of the shell itself incorporates the idea of hiding so as to mimic a comfort zone. The angle of the slotting construction method permits visual permeability from the inside while not allowing the people from the outside to have visual connections to the inside. The weaving method at the ceiling provides the user with a sense of privacy while serving ventilation purposes.
